Song Writing and Composion
Cherie Pops creates our own original songs in citypop style.
The way of composition is very unique.
Main vocalist ICHI-SAN cannot music score but can make melody and lyrics.
Bassist Tle (TORU) brings his unique idea of lyrics and the idea of the song with interesting Japanese writings from his imagination.
Leader and Piano/Keyboard/Synthesizer player Nohn and the guitarist Komchai(Kla) cooperate together to find the correct Chord and make arrangement and recod DEMO in the studio called “Beatlab 81” which is run by Nohn.
The song is born but it needs to be treated well to grow more.
The demo songs are performed by the band members in the practice studio, and new ideas are born from performing them live. As they are performed several times in front of an audience, the appropriate arrangement for the song gradually takes better shape.
Finally, the songs that have been painstakingly crafted are newly recorded based on the demo tracks.

Tonikaku Sabishii (So Sad So Bad)
The meaning of the title “Tonikaku Sabishii” expresses the feeling of just being lonely.
It’s a unique title that native Japanese persons wouldn’t be able to come up with.
The title was created by TLE(TORU), a bassist with a deep knowledge of Japanese culture (especially anime).
The basic riff is also made by TLE(TORU), and Nohn and Komchai(Kla), and ICHI-SAN dug up the image for the song from a collage-like poem in Japanese written by TLE(TORU), and wove the melody and lyrics together as if he were excavating a fossil, giving the song its shape.
